We are a young, energetic firm specialising in Mortgage and Protection advice with our clients’ financial well-being at the core of our business. Founded by Liam & Jason, lifelong best friends with over 12 years combined experience in financial services at some of the biggest firms in the industry, We have decided to use our experience and knowledge in the industry to create a new brand that offers our clients a more personal experience when they need advice with their financial matters.

We aim to offer our clients a more bespoke service tailored to their needs. A house purchase is arguably the biggest commitment a person can make and the process to purchase one is often said to be particularly stressful to say the least! We aim to take that issue out of the equation by making the process simple, straightforward and an overall better experience. We take great pleasure in being involved and helping somebody get their dream home or save money on their existing mortgage. We also have a duty of care and a responsibility to ensure that the mortgage debt and our clients’ families are fully protected in the event of life's tragedies occurring in terms of sickness. Our priority is to make sure that no family we come across would ever have to go through the financial difficulties that follow when sickness and ill health happen.
MEET THE FOUNDERS
Liam Hugill
I’m Liam, I’m one of the 2 founders and Principals of Marlwood Financial Group. I have been in the finance industry over 9 years, gaining valuable knowledge and experience at some of the largest banks and firms in the UK.
Although I am qualified to give mortgage advice, I focus on the protection side of the business. Our aim is to offer clients a much more straightforward, hassle-free process. I have been sat on the other side of the desk before, I had to claim on my own insurance when I injured myself playing football. It is because of this that I understand fully the importance of having somebody available throughout the full process, from the initial meeting, through to filling the claim forms out.
Customer service is the most important thing to me. I like to get to know my clients and their families and build a life-long relationship that gives them the confidence that they have an adviser who they can trust is looking after their best interests. I consider myself a friend of the family that arranges your life insurance.
Outside of the office I am a normal everyday kind of guy! I play football and golf (horrendously) and like to walk my dogs.
Jason Davison
I’m Jason one of the founders and Principals of Marlwood Financial Group I have worked in financial services for over 4 years, over that time I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience in the mortgage and insurance side of things which is where I specialise.

My focus at Marlwood is to ensure you receive the best mortgage advice whether that be for your residential or investment property remortgages or purchases. My aim is to make the process as smooth and stress free as possible, essentially holding your hand through the full journey and ensuring you have the correct insurance in place and understand everything fully. One of the most important factors for me is communication, making sure you’re up to date and aware of what is happening every step of the way.
When I am not working, I like to spend my time going away on holiday, walking with my partner and dog Woody or playing golf.
